MLA Mahesh Landage's 'fight' to save the drug park

- MIDC administration will demand municipal land

- Positive role of Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar

Pimpri (Time Newsline Network):

The Municipal Corporation will write to the MIDC administration to save the 'Pharmaceutical Garden', a public health project in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Also, NIMA and MLA Mahesh Landage will jointly launch a court battle.

Under Bhosari constituency, however, work is underway on a 1 acre plot of land within the MIDC limits. However, the MIDC administration has decided to sell the land. In particular, the trees planted by the initiative of Nima, an organization working for doctors, should be cut down, the sources said.

Against this backdrop, BJP city president and MLA Mahesh Landage held a meeting with Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar and officials of the concerned department. Officials of NIMA were also present on the occasion.

Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has sold the land allotted under a 21-year contract for afforestation, afforestation and ayurvedic trees. MIDC, which is important for the health of the city, has converted the forested land into a commercial space and sold it. The municipality has no information about this, claims Nima, an organization working for doctors.

Meeting with MIDC officials ...

MLA Landage said that the Municipal Corporation should give a letter to get the concerned land back in its possession. Municipal administration should take possession of this place for maintenance. I will give such a demand letter to the municipal administration. A meeting will be held soon with the concerned officials of MIDC in this regard. At this time, the Municipal Corporation is positive about this and will resolve it soon, assured Commissioner Shravan Hardikar.
