Marathwada Independence Day celebrated

Appeal to participate in My Family My Responsibility campaign


          Aurangabad,(timenewsline network): Stating that Marathwada was the land of Saints which was freed from the rule of Razakars as a reason of sacrifice by many freedom fighters chief minister Uddhav Thackeray appealed everyone to participate in My Family My Responsibility campaign for getting rid of Corona virus on the lines of participation of entire Marathwada in to Marathwada freedom struggle which has shown today’s Marathwada Independence day. Stating that Government was committed to development of Marathwada, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray expressed the need for participation of everyone in the process of development and spelled out his desire for forming Aurangabad Development Authority for the development of Aurangabad.


          Guardian Minister Subhash Desai hoisted the flag to mark Marathwada Mukti Sangram and Independence Day near martyr memorial at Siddhartha Garden. Chief minister Thackeray participated in this program via video conferencing from Mumbai.  He addressed the audience during this program from Mumbai.


          Minister for employment guarantee and horticulture Sandipan Bhumare, minister of state for revenue Abdul Sattar, Legislators Ambadas Danve, Haribhau Bagade, Sanjay Shirsat, Pradeep Jaiswal, Udaysingh Rajput, Atul Sawe, divisional commissioner Sunil Kendrekar, collector Sunil Chavan, administrator on the municipal corporator Astik Kumar, commissioner of police dr Nikhil Gupta, SP Mokshada Patil, senior freedom fighters and others were present for the flag hoisting ceremony.


          Chief minister Thackeray said that people from all the age groups have fought for the Marathwada freedom and today is the day which showed that entire Marathwada rises against any injustice against Marathwada. Stating that this land has a quality of fighting against any injustice and remove it, chief minister said that Swami Ramanand Teertha, Govindbhai Shroff and their colleagues have fought together this Marathwada freedom struggle which is why we could see this day. Chief Minister said that present generation was the descendants of Marathawada freedom fighters and taking a cue from them we need to protect and conserve heritage of Marathwada and develop it.


           Stating that we are free today, chief minister Thackeray said that we are fighting another battle which are fighting with mask on our mouth for having free breath. He said that while Marathwada was freed from Razakars with the participation of people from all walks of life and from all the generations, we need to fight Corona in the same way and defeat Corona by using Mask which is our weapon against it. He said that everyone needs to participate in My Family My Responsibility campaign so that we can defeat Corona. Chief Minister Thackeray said that Marathwada was the land of people with determination which is why Marathwada is heading towards development and this year despite the fact that Monsoon is good the Government has accepted the responsibility of making Marathwada drought-free through various schemes. Marathwada would be prosperous as a reason of Shiv Sena Pramukh Balasaheb Thackeray Samrudhhi Mahamarg joining Mumbai and Nagpur. He said that efforts would be made to form Aurangabad on the lines of Mumbai and Pune development authorities. Asking everyone to pledge for making Marathwada free from Corona and make efforts for its prosperity.


          Guardian Minister and other dignitaries offered floral tribute at the martyr memorial after which Police force played band and bugle in addition to offering the tribute with three rounds fired in the air.  Guardian Minister hoisted the flag and offered his best wishes to freedom fighters by personally meeting them. Praveena Kannadkar conducted the program. Guardian Minister threw open the cardiac ambulance made available to patients by Municipal Corporation officers and employees.
